This piece, created mostly from ad magazines, is made of thousands of tiny images. From close the image is extremely broken up made to simulate the amassing and compiling of trash, however, from afar, every shred comes together to create an organic, flowing image. Juxtiposing the growth of a tree against the eminant discarding of these rather annoying ad magazines, Lisa brings together a cohesive image that takes the viewer's eyes on a boldly, colorful journey. We move with the shredded up images, spotting wonderful, textural and surprising materials throughout. These materials include, but are not limited to thousands of shreds of ads from magazines, chains, lace, piled on rinestones for extreme glimmer, torn up fish net stockings, feathers, CD cases that jut in and out and old CDs. The artist challenges you to search within the piece and question how cohesion can come from an amassing of seeming chaos.
